About the Training
Anatomy & Physiology
You will gain a deep understanding of the structure, foundation, alignment and anatomy of the foundational postures of the practice. Our goal is not to just make you physically strong in your asana practice, but to also create a practice that is sustainable and safe for the rest of your life. You will learn the intricate anatomical inner-workings of movement to strengthen and stabilize your practice, and how to convey that information to your students.
Yoga History and Philosophy
Where we are today in the practice of yoga is directly due to those who came before us. To fully understand who we are, we must understand where we came from. We will trace the lineage of Yoga from its origins to the modern practice that we are experiencing now, exploring the texts and practices that inform every breath of yoga today.
The honest truth is that asana without a corresponding meditation practice is an incomplete practice. Meditation does not have to be a lofty intimidating ideal that seems totally inaccessible. Once we establish our seat in meditation and learn the simple steps to find clarity and stillness, the benefits and importance of this practice will be clear and your heart will be yearning for a daily session.
The way that you structure your class from the first words that fall out of your mouth to the last bow of gratitude is a narrative that has the potential to tell an epic tale with peaks and valleys, heroes and villains, gods and demons. When you learn to fluently and powerfully structure the poses, the theming and the intention of your classes, you have the power to take your students on an amazing journey that will leave them transformed and renewed.
Adam Whiting (e-RYT 500) has helped lead hundreds of yoga teachers through their 200 Hour and 300 Hour teacher training journeys. As the Lead Facilitator at Power Living Australia Yoga, he worked with the most knowledgeable, inspiring and passionate teachers to educate and guide students through their trainings and beyond.
Adam's teacher trainings are such a well rounded experience! You get to drink in his knowledge of anatomy and the yoga postures. You soak in his passion around ancient philosophy and the teachings. Most importantly, you have the time of your life bonding with others in a special space he creates with his light hearted and fun personality. I have done yoga trainings all over the world and Adam is still my favorite instructor!

My first training with Adam started my journey in the teaching world of yoga. The amount of knowledge that I was able to attain in my 200 Hour Teacher Training prepared me to teach immediately. The anatomical knowledge and poetic delivery taught in this course is the perfect balance, whether you want to teach or to gain more knowledge for your personal practice. The training is suited for anyone looking to gain more knowledge of yoga philosophy, connection in the classroom and epic asana
- Courtney Sullivan 200 HR RYT - November 2015
Adam is such a giving teacher. He freely shares his time, knowledge and energy. He is always open to new ideas and supporting each individual the best way he can. I learned so much from Adam and he was instrumental in progressing my yoga practice and my teaching skills.
- Ben Taylor 200 HR RYT - November 2014
There's no way I can shortly described how much Adam’s teaching has given me, as a student and teacher of yoga, philosophically and anatomically. All I can say is, everything he creates becomes art.
